Firewatch Program

Firewatch Program

Fire Watch shall be required of any occupancy site(s) that is temporarily without full fire protection, or that pose a threat to public safety as determined by the Salt Lake City Fire Marshal or his/her designee. Full fire protection shall include, but not be limited to fire detection, monitoring, and suppression systems.

The property owner, business owner, tenant, occupant in control, or person/entity otherwise responsible (hereinafter referred to as “Responsible Party”) is required to employ dedicated personnel with no other responsibilities other than conducting a Fire Watch. The Responsible Party shall hold sole financial responsibility for all costs associated with providing a Fire Watch. If Fire Watch personnel cannot be provided by the Responsible Party, the Fire Watch will be performed by Salt Lake City Firefighters and charged to the Responsible Party as per the Salt Lake City Consolidated Fee Schedule.
